I'm going to let that sink in for a little bit. I also like to talk about them and so I'm going to (try to) write a review of all the movies I watch. OK, lets get on this rocket ship to the stars! The first movie I'm going to talk about is The Taking of Pelham 123. For those interested at the time I am writing this, I am watching the ever popular show "StarWatch" and they are doing a profile on Denzel Washington and this film. As hard as it may be, I will try to keep them from influencing my opinion.
This film is, at best, mediocre. At a running length of about 2 hours, I stoped carring after about 1. I wanted to see John Travolta shoot everyone just to change things up. Speaking of Travolta, he seemed to bring his A-game to this film. He makes the best of a cookie cutter character (+2 for illeteration) and is fairly enjoyable to watch. I can't say the same about Mr. Washington though. His character goes from subway dispatcher to hostage negotiater, a transition that you would think would cause most people to become a tad bit flustered. Washington picks up a bit of a stutter, but other than that he remains pretty much emotionless. You can't spell 'called it in' without the letter 'D' and that starts the word Denzel and...nothing...OK, moving on.
There are a lot of really weird camera shots that I really don't know how to feel about. One of them just had the camera spinning really fast and served only to make me dizzy. There weren't many good twists or anything to grab my attention. The sentimental parts were snoozers. The best part was my fruit snacks that came with my kiddie combo. I gotta give this a 2 outta 5 stars. Now...how to I get on metacritic?

Adm. OK, I don't but that's not important right now. You may be asking, "David, why are you starting a blog? Who do you think will read it?" And to you, non-existent reader, I respond, "People with far too much time on their hands." That's right. If you are reading this you must have some deep seeded issues that should be attended to. Now that I have just insulted my potential readers I shall lay out my Mission Statement. I really don't expect many people to glance at, let alone follow, this page. I am creating it merely for my own amusement and to make me feel somewhat productive at 2 in the morning. I hope y'all enjoy this craziness. Peace.

Adm.
